Tragic Neighbourhood Feud Turns Deadly in Indore
Indore was left shaken on Tuesday night after a long-standing dispute between neighbours escalated into a violent clash, leaving two people dead and several others injured. The incident occurred in a densely populated residential colony, where frequent arguments over minor issues had reportedly created tension for months. According to police officials, the conflict began with a heated argument over parking and noise late in the evening. What started as a verbal exchange soon turned violent when members of both families allegedly attacked each other with sticks, stones, and sharp objects. Residents rushed out after hearing screams, but by the time police arrived, the situation had already turned fatal. Two men from opposing households succumbed to severe injuries, while three others were rushed to a nearby hospital, where their condition is said to be stable. Police have registered a case of murder and attempt to murder, and several suspects from both families have been taken into custody for questioning. Local residents said the families had a history of disputes, and complaints had been made earlier over frequent quarrels. “Everyone knew there was bad blood between them, but no one imagined it would end like this,” said a neighbour, requesting anonymity. Senior police officers visited the spot and assured residents that strict action would be taken against those responsible. Additional police force was deployed in the area to prevent further unrest and to maintain law and order. The tragic incident has once again highlighted how unresolved neighbourhood disputes and rising aggression can spiral into extreme violence. Authorities have urged citizens to resolve conflicts through dialogue and legal channels rather than taking the law into their own hands.
